“You Care” by Jon Corbin (Single)

How do you hang on when the storms of life rage on?

We are excited to present Jon’s first single of 2018 called “You Care” featuring Jeremy Rodney-Hall.

“‘You Care’ is a personal song, kind of like a modern psalm, that affirms God’s love for us even in the face of hard times,” said Corbin.

Jon Corbin is a veteran artist who has quietly carved a niche in Canada’s hip-hop community, collaborating with multiple Polaris Music Prize nominee Shad, Juno Award winner Caroline Brooks of The Good Lovelies, and many other revered emcees on both sides of the border.

“You Care” is a song for those who are tired of fighting through life’s challenges, with a sound inspired by the soulfulness of Leon Bridges, the lyricism of Chance the Rapper, and the worshipful gospel of Israel Houghton.

“In studying the Psalms, I saw so many times where the Psalmist lifted their concerns to God and then moved to worship. Of note was Psalm 13: 5-6 — ‘But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.’ I wanted to make a song that I could sing to myself in the hard times. Hopefully, it’s a song other people can sing as well.”

“You Care” is available on LSTNFND.com or available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Google Play, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, and more.
